About Vellumark
A Steady Hand for Family Records
We founded Vellumark on a simple belief: every family's papers deserve the same care and attention that a good archivist brings to a collection of lasting value.

How Vellumark Came to Be
Vellumark grew from a personal observation: families often have boxes of important papers — certificates, correspondence, old photographs, property records — that are never properly sorted. When the moment comes to find something specific, the search can be long and occasionally fruitless. The papers that most deserve careful keeping are often the least ordered.
We established Vellumark in Chiang Mai to address this quietly, without fuss. Our work is entirely organisational and educational. We do not practise any profession that requires a licence, and we do not give advice on what documents mean or what anyone should do with them. What we offer is time, patience and a systematic approach to bringing order where there was none.
The name Vellumark draws on the idea of a mark made clearly and lastingly — the kind of notation a careful keeper of records leaves so that others can find their way. That is precisely what we aim to do for every family we work with.
Our Mission
What We Set Out to Do
Our mission is to help families in Thailand feel genuinely settled about their personal records — not anxious or overwhelmed, but confident that their papers are in a known, accessible place and that what matters most has been preserved.
Careful work: We handle every document as though it were irreplaceable — because often it is.
Honest scope: We are clear about what we do and do not do. Organisation and education, nothing beyond.
Patient approach: We do not rush. Each family's collection has its own rhythm, and we follow that.
Full discretion: What you share with us stays with you. Privacy is not a feature; it is the foundation.

How We Work
Our Standards & Protocols
Every engagement follows a consistent set of working practices that protect your records and your privacy throughout.
Physical Handling Protocols
Original documents are handled with clean cotton gloves where appropriate, stored flat and kept away from direct light and moisture during the working process. All originals are returned in full.
Privacy & Confidentiality
We do not share, copy or retain any content from your documents beyond what is needed to complete the work. Digital files we create are returned to you and removed from our working records promptly.
Verified Work Completion
At the conclusion of each project, we provide a written summary of what was sorted, indexed or archived, so you have a clear record of what was done and where everything has been placed.
Digital Scanning Standards
Scanned images are produced at a resolution suitable for long-term legibility. Files are named systematically and organised in the same structure as the physical index we create alongside them.
Workshop Quality Assurance
Our educational workshops are reviewed regularly to ensure the content remains accurate, helpful and appropriate. Participants are welcome to provide feedback, and we take it seriously.
Scope Boundaries
We are always clear about what our services do and do not include. We do not offer any advice that requires a professional licence, and we will say so plainly if a question falls outside our scope.
Document Organisation Services in Chiang Mai
Vellumark works with families across the Chiang Mai region who want their personal papers, estate records and family photographs brought into a clear, lasting arrangement. Our work covers three distinct areas: administrative document sorting and indexing, educational workshops on family history and legacy reflection, and comprehensive family archive creation.
Each of these services is purely organisational or educational in character. We do not interpret documents, advise on their legal or financial significance or draft any materials that would require a professional qualification to produce. What we offer is methodical, respectful attention to the physical and digital organisation of what families already possess.
Northern Thailand has a rich tradition of families preserving records across generations. We have found that many households hold a remarkable range of materials — handwritten notes, old correspondence, property photographs, family trees — that have never been properly catalogued. Our role is simply to bring order to these, with the discretion and care that such personal materials deserve.
Families who work with Vellumark consistently tell us that the greatest benefit is knowing where everything is. That quiet confidence — that any document can be found at short notice — is what we aim to give each family we serve.
