Family Archive Creation — completed April 2025
The Situation
A family had inherited a collection of four generations of records — photographs from the 1950s onward, handwritten correspondence, property documents and a range of personal items — stored across multiple boxes with no consistent organisation.
What We Did
We catalogued every item, provided written descriptions, scanned all photographs and selected documents at high resolution, and organised the digital archive in a clear folder structure matching the physical arrangement. Duration: approximately four weeks.
The Outcome
The family now has a comprehensive, searchable archive — both physical and digital — and can find any item quickly. They told us the project gave them a sense of their family history they had not previously had in such a clear, accessible form.
Legacy Reflection Workshops — completed March 2025
The Situation
A retired couple in their seventies wanted to put their family history and personal values into a form that their adult children and grandchildren could refer to in the years ahead, but were uncertain how to approach the task.
What We Did
We ran three workshop sessions over six weeks — each approximately two hours — covering family history frameworks, personal values exercises and practical guidance on listing cherished belongings. The sessions were paced to suit the couple's rhythm entirely.
The Outcome
Each participant left with a completed workbook and a set of notes covering their family history, values and belongings. They described the workshops as the most productive and enjoyable use of three afternoons they had had in some time.
Document Sorting & Indexing — completed May 2025
The Situation
A long-term foreign resident had accumulated over a decade of mixed Thai and English administrative documents, contracts, correspondence and personal papers with no consistent filing system, making it difficult to locate anything specific quickly.
What We Did
We sorted the full collection into clear categories across both languages, created a bilingual written index, produced a basic digital scan set and returned everything in a labelled folder system. Total duration: eight working days.
The Outcome
The client described the result as a genuine relief — after years of working around the disorganisation, having a functioning system made a noticeable difference to the time spent on administrative tasks each month.
